Moving Pictures has always been one of my favorite Rush Albums!!!

You nailed the solo!!!!

Tell your drummer he did Mr. Peart proud!!

(I started as a drummer, and used to play the whole Rush catalog through Moving Pictures....it was within the year of it's release, 1980, that I quit drums as my main instrument and began to pursue guitar).

Anyhoo.......this brought back alot of memories.....thanks!!

you know? I think I may of heard of Rush. I cann't be sure though....


LOL!!!! They are my second fave band of all time. This is great axe. the drums are stunning (I said that last time too) The bass is spot on and the vocals are more human than geddys hypersonic banshee ones at the time. Guitar is spot on - the solo is close enough to be a live rush performance. Tone is a little off I guess, but that is nitpicking and current vogue is for the more heavily saturated sounds. And as this is live you guys will always have fans with this kind of performance!! I am booking my flight now :thumb:

Man almost every band I've ever been in has tried to cover this song. And our singers could never cut it. Not even if you tie a slipknot around their balls and have the drummer pull on the string at the appropriate moment. (you know, timing and all..drummer's job)

But this guy nails the vocal. Very impressive.

And great guitar work too. I think this is one of those tunes where you really can't deviate much from the original solo. It's just too much a part of the song. And you nailed it big time.
