Lukather about Porty

On January 23rd Lukather wrote in the Q&A section: "There's not too much in the modern rock scene that blows my skirt up, some great tunes, but there's no more young virtuosos anymore."
After this statement Luke happened to play the instrumental debut album Tangram by the new Spanish guitar talent Porty and he immediately shaded his opinion: "I checked out Porty's record last night... this guy is AWESOME!!! I was really diggin it! Great tone and great tunes and arrangements. I had to dig it before I'll meet the guy (London February 18th, A.S.) and now I am a fan. This guy has "it". I hope he finds his audience as I think he has alot to offer!!! "I hate him." Hahaha, just kidding. The little bastard has a gift!!! I welcome real talent and virtuosity as it is shunned these days."
the guy is good he can definitely play, but his tone is just like satch's, and his riffs sound like satch with a little hint of vai- I wouldn't say he sounds original and new, but definitely damn good.
