Hi,
Just finished mixing down this one from me and J-Mart. We did one last January and had a blast and we again had fun trying to out-do each other on this one as well!

J-Mart is EASILY my favourite player on Guitars101 as he just has such a natural playing style and his tone thru his Roccaforte mod'ed Marshall is well known thru many forums on the net. What's fun for me is I get to try and get a remarkable tone out of my Pod XT and see if people can guess which is the Marshall and which is the POD.

Anyway, I wrote and recorded the twins and we shared the solo's out as we saw fit. I had a GREAT time trying to keep up! Hope to do some more stuff sooner than January 2006 Jeremy, so get a decent track together and lets do another one SOON!

As incredible as you both sound, though, I'd keep the POD...since both of you sound amazing, it's the better bargain and a hell of a lot more conveinent

I assumed YOU used the POD since you own it, however, I can see how you would try to throw a wrench into the works and confuse us into thinking J-Mart used the POD...hmmm...then I can see where you would think we would think that too so hmmm...I'll take Chris Watson for $100, Alex :lol:

I'm quite impressed with Wah's tone with that pod. But, I'd put my amp up head to head with anybodys tone in an A/B test. A lot is recording technique, and with a Pod you can plug and go, but my set-up takes some time. I love doing it though, and each time it seems my sound is a bit different. Wah, we will do this again soon (jedi mind trick).

Plug in and go???? You realise it took me 2 and a half MINUTES to tweak that sucka!!!! :lol: I think 'tone' is in the fingers myself and the amp helps brings it out but I certainly can't play some of these licks with a tube amp and I'm not joking there...

We gotta do something EPIC next time J... :icon_peac

I think Wah has his own style. I can tell it is him when I hear a song. Thats not easy to do.
