Was your mic in the middle of the speaker? How close did you have it?

I have at a 45 slightly off center about an inch off the grill.

Try it more to the outside of the cone about 1 foot away, straight on.
Sounded like you were a bit muffled.

sounds nice for thick heavy rhythms.. but for lead playing maybe slightly muffled..
but still sounds really nice n thick!
