Danny Joe Brown, the lead singer of the Southern rock band Molly Hatchet, died of complications from diabetes, his family said Monday. He was 53.

Danny was the original singer in Molly Hatchet. Jimmy Farrar was the second after Danny's departure. Danny returned in about late '84 if I remember right! lol After his second departure it's pretty much beena mish mash of musicians coming and going. Currently there are no original members in the band. As far as Blackfoot goes, Ricky "Rattlesnake" Medlocke, who was the voice and rhythm guitarist in the band and founding member, is currently with Lynyrd Skynyrd and has been since '97. Ricky could almost be considered a founding member of Skynyrd as he was a member of the band very early on and played the drums. Just a bit of Rock and Roll history there folks!!! :icon_peac
