I was watching Vince Neil get his Ultimate Makover on VH1 and got some inspiration to do some Motley Crue BTs. Fair Warning: lower your bass settings... I used a couple of new toys on thing one (Edirol Hypercanvas and a BBE Sonic Maximizer) and things got a little out of control. Other than that it's a good track.

Pod:

When you use the Sonic Max. do you apply it only to the final mixdown track during mastering, or do you use it on each individual insturment track while recording the final track? I'm messing around with it both ways and I'm getting mixed pisspoor results. It can overpower things very easily and Your BT tracks sound very ballanced.

I apply it to each track individually. You have to watch the output level, especially on the bass as that tends to get high. Depending on the instrument track, I usually choose the preset of the instrument and then lower the output level a bit 'til the clipping is gone..
