a small stack of Cars tunes in OGG.

included:

all mixed up
doncha stop
good times roll
just what i needed
bye bye love
in touch w/your world

also, heres steely dan's Bodhisattva, as 10 tracks

and as an FYI: MOGG and (most) OGG can be opened in Audacity 1.3 as full(er) multitracks. steely dan is 10tracks, the cars tunes are 12ish each. some of the stuff i've posted, like the Mac tune above are fairly bounced down. the MOGG stuff is multitrack-OGG. the full multi of Go Your Own Way is also out there, if anybody wants.

theres at least a dozen Nirvana tunes -- appearing to be full multis -- on the pastebin links posted above. stacks of Hendrix & Metallica stuff, too.

and heres 9 tracks of Gimme Shelter. the download is a RAR (not TBA as posted), and the extracted file needs to be tagged as an MOGG, and then can be opened in audacity.

Thanks for these.
my pleasure, hope you have some fun with this stuff.

and if you, or anybody, has any questions/probs with links/files, please lemme know.

Here's 'Mike Portney' of 'Dream Theater' playing the drum tracks for every song on the 'Train Of Thought' album...(Vacant is absent 'cause it's a drum-less tune...) All drums are totally isolated btw...'cause i'm a guitarist i added 'count-ins' etc where necessary to know when to start playing , but you can easily remove these if you want to on app's like Cool Edit Pro / Adobe Audition etc...

You can also find these files on youtube , but the sound quality of 'FLV' audio extractions 'ain't that great'...acquired the DVD the other day , so the audio is extracted from that...
The wav files of these amount to 725 megs...TOO BIG !!!

Converted them down to 320 kbps...files are pretty big even in this format...(Considering my mega-slow up' speed)

here is rush's moving pictures. the RAR contains 7 song folders, each folder contains 4 stereo oggs: drums, bass, guitar, vox (listed as song).

separation is not 100%, maybe 95ish%. for many/most apps though, this stuff is gold.

here are the moggs for DSotM, extractions from the DVD-A. separation on these, as they arent multis so to speak, is on some tracks near nil, and there is the useless sub track.

but ----

the slide/extra guitar parts on Breathe -- which are relegated to their own two tracks with keyboards -- are worth the price of admission alone.

Money has seperate tracks of just guitar, and of keys.

Us & Them is full of beautiful paired/three'd stuffs --- bu vox & guitar, vox and sax, piano & vox. a series of treats, each track is completely listenable on its own.

theres amore treats than that, too.

this thing is so definitely worth it for any Floyd fan.

I already posted 3 BT's from this album a few months back
Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, Witch Hunt

well, theres really never enough spread of this stuff, is there? :)

it just seemed appropriate to post here --- i could start way too many threads for this stuff (multitracks from diff artists, or tracks, or whatever), or i could just throw all the stuff in here. or better yet, i could try to throw just the bestest stuff in here.

like these rush tracks ;) especially the full album as direct download.

are you using 'em for practice and/or backing tracks, or remixes, or what? mostly, i use 'em as purely reference material -- tones, styles, miking styles, etc etc, theres just so much that can be learned from these things, above & beyond all the "audio" options.

and just cuz i know that forumites from there will be here at some point, i need to give unending thanks to the great guys over at echoingthesound :: The Musical Revolution, which is an NIN forum where almost all this stuff has been found at. an amazing bunch of guys there, at least the bunch hanging in the Multis thread.

It's the whole album of "Dr. Feelgood" multitrack .moggs, each are individual .rar files with track in each one, no need to have them all downloaded to open them, just extract the tracks from each single one and have fun.

just brewed myself a cup :D

i am just amazed at what a treasure trove of stuff is out there though. i just spent 40 mins mixing Gimme Shelter, after spending 20mins w/She Sells Sanctuary. i just never thought i'd have the chance.........
