This is me doing Chris Issak's "Wicked Game". Like my first upload here, I did the vocals on guitar....and added a few things of my own here and there. I tried to simulate "oceanic" sounds by caressing the strings lightly with my hand in the intro. I went for total atmosphere with this one.

Thanks a lot, guys. I appreciate it. I wasn't sure how this one would go over with all of the fellow hard rockers here, but I posted it anyway.

I really like this place. I just may have to ditch the other guitar forum I frequent for this one. There's no petty bickering and just a better sense of community overall here. Plus, it's a lot more active.

The tones are very evocative of the original. Your phrasing and timing is very tasteful and spot on. You did a great job of emulating the sound of gulls and breaking surf on your guitar - simply amazing. I'm also hearing a little tonal similarity with Eric Johnson toward the second half of the song. This is wicked indeed!!

EJ is definitely a big influence of mine. This particular recording was pure luck for me, I believe. I'm certainly no expert when it comes to the recording aspect by any stretch of the imagination. Hopefully, my luck will continue, though.:toothless
