hey guys.

i don't know if it's even possible but i sure hope so.
what i'm lookin for is an option to silence a chosen part of a track.

for example - i'm playin a heavy distortion 10 second riff, i want to mute
the part from second 5 to second 7, can i do that?
i DON'T want to CUT it. cause when u cut it, u can hear it in the recording.

if you're asking why do i need this, mostly for muting the feedback that appears with distortion.

i hope that was understandable ;) ;)

in know what you mean....go to single waveform edit, then go to effects>silence. just highlight the section you want to be silenced. if you want to be precise, just type in the numers in the clock on the lower right part of the screen...from 5.00 to 7.00.

another way is to put the pointer at the start of the section .. right click and select split .. then go to the end of the part and click split . .so it's it's own little section .. then right click and select mute block .. that way it'll still be there if you want to unmute it later :thumb:

hope that helps !

Thanks mate , it comes in VERY handy when you have a few takes of a song and you like say one little riff out of the 2nd one ... you can just split out the same section on each song and mute the one you don't want .. very cool indeed .
