[supercharged 350]

Hey peeps pull up a chair and check out how this tune came to be. Wigrocks sent the backing synth/drum track that he had programmed to see if I was interested in doing anything with it. I said "hell yeah!" so I recorded some guitar tracks and sent them to him to check out. He was liking the direction. We talked about maybe Mrs. S.C. doing vocals and the fact that he had quite a few songs written in the lyrics section (BTW check them out, the boy can write!) I ended up checking them out myself and had checked out a few when I came across "Between Here And There". Which really grabbed me and seemed to fit. So long story short (I know...too late:toothless ) I came up with a melody line and started recording vocals myself. It was really cool sending Wig some rough drafts and working a few things out over the net. And he was really cool about letting me kinda just go with it. It turned out kinda NIN meets Filter meets Rob Zombie Meets ?????? So here it is. Enjoy!!

Theres not enough great things that I can say about getting to work with Matt. He's just unbelievably talented. And although Mrs. SC and JPF didn't get to lend to this one, plans are in the works to get another lined up. Matt's guitar tracks in this are just so creative, perfectly executed, and everything fit the song so well. His vox - I think he's found a niche that only he'll be able to do right and it ROCKS somethin serious. In the 3 or 4 passes of music back and forth, you'd be amazed at the focus he puts into this and the turnaround time just makes you spin. So quick and on the money every time. I hope to get that comfortable doing this stuff, someday too. The fact that he used some of the lyrics I've posted here at G101, just made this even more awesome. Great feeling to see them sitting in some COOL HEAVY INDUSTRIAL METAL. Matt - YOU ARE THE MAN!!! Looking forward to working with you again!!! BLOODY EXCELLENT!

this is really impressive. the arrangement is brilliant and the guitar playing is absolutely spot on. Singing is wonderful too. This genuinely sounds amazing - this is probably the most professional song I have heard here.

Only criticism - is the drums needs to be boosted in the mix. Almost needs an industrial drum sound.

I really like this tune - I am on my 3rd listen now :lol:

Goport, you’re right about the drums. Unfortunately, this particular backer was done using an evaluation version of FruityLoop. So the demo doesn’t let you save, only export as .wav or .mp3. It had gotten to be soooo late the night I did this and I pretty much had to draw the line and hope it was at least close to what I was aiming for. By the next morning when I heard it on CD, rather than my laptop (horrible soundcard), I had wished that I could have done some things different with the drums and their volumes. As far as all of your kind words, I’m very glad that they are here for Mr SC to see. He’s got a killer instinct for this type of tune. I’m still beside myself over how impressed I was throughout the whole process talking with him. His mix came out AMAZING!!! You were also, the first or one of the first to check out the lyrics to this song, a while back. Your comments have been very encouraging, and although I haven’t posted much in Lyrics lately, I’ve been writing a lot over the last year, so thanks.
