I responded to your post a few days ago, but somehow the message doesn't show up, so I will try it again...

No, I haven't tried to record the whole piece, but your right, it's a true challenge!
I will take this as a request :)

Try it, it will propably take a while to learn to play it uptempo.

I linked to an etude based on Learning To Live by DT (in an an earlier post), that is really hard to play, but playing the whole of Rage Over a Lost Penny will be harder no doubt about that.

It´s hard no doubt about that. Shawn Lane and Jonas Hellborg transcribed the whole of the Goldberg variations for guitar and 6 string bass by the way. Too bad they didn´t record it. Shawn could play most of it upptempo (no tapping) but only recorded a couple of minutes of it (on youtube actually).

There are many classical pieced that are actually possible too play on a standardtuned 6 string.
