Rock Swings has been advertised on television for some time now, and I kept missing the advert. My wife kept wanting me to catch it just to hear him singing Jump.
Unfortunately, on the advert, it's the worst part of his cover of the song in my opinion, with him crooning, "Might as well... JUMP !"
After hearing the rest of the song, as a swing song, it's not too bad. But when you compare it to the original... ? Well, you can't really can you ? The original has that Van Halen energy. That energy has just been totally replaced with the Swing.
And this song without Roth or the solo or the keyboards ?

Still, like I say, as a song on it's own, it isn't that bad, apart from the cheesy backing "Jump!" and "Hey You !".
That said, I bet someone gets it me as a comedy Christmas present.
