RemembranceCCF's Notes
Stratcat received this tape from Malcolm L. in the early 90's. Most of the rehearsals here are a bit crisper than the other versions found on Y, and likewise benefit from being 24/96. Numb in Set 2 becomes a bit muffled, but for the most part this is a relatively clear and enjoyable listen. It is my belief that this is an SBD, albeit a poor one.
The first set of the tape seemed to become slower over the course of the runtime, so a 1% increase was applied from The Thin Ice to Mother, a 3% increase was applied from Goodbye Blue Sky to Young Lust, and a 6% increase was applied from One of My Turns to Roger's Rant. Set 2 was a bit better, though seemed slower in the middle than the end. A 2% increase was applied from The Last Few Bricks to Goodbye Cruel World, a 4% increase was applied to Hey You, and a 2.5% increase was applied from Is There Anybody Out There to The Show Must Go On.
The Channel Balance for Set 1 was pretty even throughout, so a blanket 2.75 increase to the left channel was applied. Set 2 was a bit more scattered. A 3.5% increase to the left channel was applied to Hey You, and a 2.75% increase was applied to the left channel from Is There Anybody Out There to The Show Must Go On.
Finally, a -0.1db normalization was applied in Adobe Audition 2019.
