I recently got podxt but the model packs is too exp for me and my parents won't let me buy it.

Sorry man, you'll have to pay for it. The model packs are tied directly to your hardware, so they cannot be ripped!

If you didnt already have one I would suggest you get one off E-Bay with model packs already on it, You could save some money that way. I agree that the Model packs are really expensive but people still buy em. I havnt bought any and dont plan too, the XT comes with enough for me.

When you price up the model packs (which sound awesome), I would opt for the v-amp2 as I had one and it has more tonal variety that the number of extras the model pack provides...and it's cost is about $100 new now...even less on EBAY and "all your eggs are not in one basket" so to speak. I used that v-amp2 with my tube amp and it was outstanding. I still have the PODXT and highly recommend it, but until the price goes down, myself...I would buy another v-amp2...
