MÖTLEY CRÜE Singer Gets A Facelift: Graphic Video Footage Available - Dec. 7, 2004

Graphic video footage of MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil getting a facelift as part of VH1's "The Remaking of Vince Neil" series, has been posted online at VH1.com (click on "Vince Neil Gets A Facelift" in the "Video" section). A description of the program, as posted on the VH1.com web site, is as follows:

"'The Remaking of Vince Neil' begins at a dingy club, in a strip mall in Minnesota, where Vince is performing solo to a small, aging, but loyal audience. The former frontman from MÖTLEY CRÜE has become significantly overweight, has maintained an escalating drinking habit, and is struggling to come up with new music to keep his sound current.

"Vince Neil is presented with the opportunity to remake himself in preparation for one ultimate goal: a grand finale concert that could re-launch his career.

"Over the next few months, Vince Neil will face his issues, battle his demons and will be tested on every level.

"Visiting a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon could wash away years of wear and tear. A personal trainer seeks to correct Vince's bad habits and help him lose those extra pounds. Fabulous stylists direct Vince toward the proper threads and a more contemporary hair-style. Recording a new song with a legendary music producer could prove to be a hit or a flop. A brand-new Vince Neil is within reach, but will Vince accept the challenge?

"No matter how much he trips and falls, whether he succeeds or fails, the experiences Vince encounters along the way will build the person he will become. See what happens when a dedicated and driven team of professionals joins forces, in an attempt to re-launch, rejuvenate, re-master and remake Vince Neil."

"The Remaking of Vince Neil" is expected to begin airing sometime in early 2005.

Video wouldn't play for me but I just wonder about his vocal ability now that the Crue are back together and planning a tour. The last few times I've heard Vince sing live, he sounded terrible...he just couldn't sing anymore. I saw the Crue live in 1986 and Vince sounded amazing.

I hope the Crue can make a comeback and be successful again but Vince will have to get sober and learn how to sing again.

Has anyone heard their new song yet. I have and I can't really explain how it sounds but I really can't render a verdict either good or bad yet. i might need to hear it a few more times.

Yeah I saw the video last night on VH1 right before the Motley Crue "Behind The Music". The song itself is fair. It doesn't really sound like them. It definately sounds like the newer stuff they've done, but it's missing an edge to it. It sounds over-produced to me.
