Just thought these statistics were intersting. There's a chart with Deceased Rock Stars indicating how they died. http://www.av1611.org/rockdead.html

Did you realize this was a religiowhacko site claiming this as evidence that rock and roll is evil and these people got God's justice handed to them?

"As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own DEATH.
Proverbs 11:19"

I feel sick.

Actually no...I never read that stuff. Just the statistics. Don't pay any attention to those ramblings..the stats are real.

I never understood the whole "rock is evil" thing. What those people are doing is denying that rock stars live different lives than your "average joe". For example, when James Hetfield got burnt on stage, a religous nut would say it happened because rock is evil, and that was punishment. But seriously, how many people run around on stage with pyrotechnics going off around them? Your average guy is gonna go to work, come home, watch t.v. then go to sleep, only to do it all over the next day. Whereas a rock star will get completely hammered and drive 150 m.p.h. on a motorcylce! Now you tell me which person has the better chance of living a full life?

The first guy of course. The rock star getting hammered and driving 150 on a motorcycle while drunk is going to die horribly and everyone is going to laugh and talk about how fucking stupid he was. The dumass is going to die before seeing much of anything or learning enough to actually be able to enjoy his life before he snuffs it out. The working man is going to spend a lot of time doing a bunch of stupid shit he doesn't want anything to do with, but he will live more years (maybe, unless he is killed by some asshole driving drunk on a motorcycle at 150 mph) he will learn more, he will see more, and will learn to appreciate the life he has before he dies at an old age surrounded by people that love him.

Being a rock star, or loving rock music, doesn't mean you have to be a retard.

*edited* I'll kill the link so I won't get stoned to death. I was interested in the stats page, not the stupid ramblings of the webmaster.
Nobody is stoning you. The people that made that website are just full of shit. I didn't think you knew what that site was actually saying. The stats are kind of interesting, but the message being delivered by the site really pisses me off.

cool stats there ! .. i found it quite interesting ,

Being a musician in general is just an extreme lifestyle not neccesarily with rock , and having an extreme lifestyle can cause people to lash out and try and balance things out with drugs or alcohol or even suicide . it's really sad .. but it's just something alot of people will fall victim to .

I can't tell if you are discussing with me or agreeing? What I am saying, is that from strictly a logical and rationial basis, if one is living the sterotypical "rock star lifestyle", one will put themselves in positions the "average" person will NEVER be in. Also, from a strictly logical point of view, chances are that when one lives this "lifestyle", they are (as the cliche' goes) playing with fire.

I'm not sure where you are coming from (if you are arguing with me, maybe that's why I can't understand it?). It seems you are either arguing the point that "average joe" will live a better life; or reiterating it? I never said otherwise!

Living the "Rock Star" lifestyle is harsh. Your exposed to drugs, women, booze, shady deals - you name it.

But that doesn't mean your gonna get tangled up in all that. Look at SRV - he cleaned himself up, stopped the coke and booze and then died in a helicopter accident. If it's Gods will that Rock stars must die for thier decatant life style, then what happend to SRV? He was clean!

Hey, I'm religious, and I've studied many aspects of the Bible. But I'm not a Bible thumper. I seriously doubt God would be wasting his time sending musicians to "Hell" when theres so much other things a God could be doing. I also have a few J-Witness friends, they won't use any curse words. Hey more power to them! But I say, the God I know is not going to boil your bones in "Hell" for 14.7 billion years for swearing.

There are many texts such as "The Revelation Of Peter" in which it was a long held secret that God's true plan was that EVERY human being will be saved - yes even Hitler. If ya don't believe me - read it for yourself. Peter was actually instructed NOT to tell people that fact.

So for me, burning musicians in hell for doing a line of blow, or gettin' a piece of ass is not what God is all about. I'm not saying those things are OK, I'm just saying those are not sins that will burn you in "Hell" for 14.7 billion years.

Yeah, it's interesting that there were no country or jazz guys on that list. I mean Hank Williams led a lifestyle that would put many rockers to shame.

There were a few on there I didn't know about either...interesting read...the stats that is, not the other mumbo-jumbo.
