Here is one that on Bass, had me tied in knots during the lead guitar section. From a bassist standpoint it is very tough to get the timing exact so its in sync with the drums during the Guitar solo there is all this crecendo activity between the bass and drums

Great to see Rush on the forum.
As a Drummer my Idol was Neil Peart of Rush, in my opinion the best drummer
to grace this planet.
And use to try and copy his style & Technique.
And one of the best bands of all time.

I feel like playing some Rush all of a sudden lol

Hey, big Rush fan here. Very cool cover. I especially liked the work on the guitar solo. Tone was great for all guitar parts. And yes, the timing on the bass is quite tough in some parts of that solo.

Mark, this is great man. Is that you on vocals? I haven't heard but one or two people who can sing like Geddy and you pulled it off pretty good. Sounds like you have a high range (where-as I gotta go falsetto to even approach these notes). I've worked on this song a couple of times, but never finished either time. I might have to revisit this one. This recording is one of the top 3 cover versions I have heard of this song. :thumbup:

Thanks kc it was done about 13 or 14 months ago...just ovewr a year. I was a little greener then but I was pleased with the overall outcome of this song. The vox are a funny thing ...My range? Well lets just say... I try and sing this one out now and I have a real struggle with alot of the notes. I remember that I comped the vocal from a bunch of seperate and "done at various times" vocal tracks I did over about 2 weeks so....maybe that was it....fresh vocal chords each time....Thanks

No I am certainly no RUSH I would have to agree with you on that. But it sure was fun to redo their tune!! (and yes thats me on the Bass.....)

Tapes, I try and pick my favs so I guess I should say...you have great taste in Music! thanks man.....
