Very interesting read thanks bannerpark!! I wonder if this recording is actually the 3rd September then?? As this article says they only played 12 songs on the 5th???

there's always been a question mark above the date of this 1976 show....I've just left it as I received it. It's the same with the Ruts Deeply Vale...some say it's 1978 and others say it's 1979 [they played both years]....and also Tubeway Army at the Roxy 1977....some people say it's the Rock Garden 1978 [again, they played both venues on those dates]. It can be a bit of a nuisance sometimes but unless someone who attended the gigs tell you the date, I suppose we just have to accept what we have...that's the way I see it anyway.

It's definitely the 5th. I've heard short samples of the 3rd and they're different. (I had to promise not to pass them on so don't ask!)

As far im aware they played on the 3rd Steves birthday and the 4th the 3rd was packed cos it was free admission the later show hardly no one was in attendance.
