A special thanks to the accountant for posting this bootleg.

This is in my top 5 "stranded on an island" bootlegs. For S&G fans, it's that good.

You get three albums in one.

The real juicy stuff comes right off the bat, with the alternate album. You're taken aback almost immediately with "Save the Life of my Child." It is alternate in almost every way: different lyrics, different sound effects, and a different feel. Follow this with "America," which sounds like it's in demo form, there's Paul, Art, and acoustic guitar. Absent are the overdubs, which give this already classic a beautiful simplicity. Included for "Overs" is one of the many available outtakes from this song's sessions. An unreleased song "Groundhog" is thankfully substituted for the "Voices" compilation. The similar-sounding demo for "Old Friends" follows, then the single version of "Fakin' It," one of my favorites of the duo. Much like like "America," the demo for "Punky's Dilemma" rivals the official release in its openness and basic structure. "Mrs. Robinson" is the version from the graduate, followed by the single mix of "Hazy Shade of Winter." The last surprise of this excellent compilation are the alternate lyrics for "At the Zoo."

The live album compiles some of the best available soundboard versions of the Bookends songs that were performed live. Released in the best available quality, it flows seamlessly as you get what it would be like to listen to this album live.

I don't know if the accountant is still around to confirm, but my original copy of the mono album (that I might still hang on to) had the DESS needledrop substituted for the mono copy that Purple Chick included. Either way, like many albums, the mono provides a different listening experience and is very enjoyable.

Purple Chick has historically brought us many classic all-timers, like the Beatles Deluxe, Live Deluxe and BBC compilations, not to mention the Complete Buddy Holly. But this one simple disc is pretty darn good.

It's boots like this that made me get into the hobby in the first place.

Can this link be checked as it doesn't require a countdown but when I try it it fails to load. I tried a similar type of FF link which instantly worked. I'm certain it's not related to the current FF woes.
