radiolux, you've done it again! Can't wait to listen to this one. Just a question-I remember seeing them a few times around this period when they used to open with Shah Shah A Go Go which then segued straight into Ice, have you got any of those? I'm loving the stuff you're already posting though!

Yes, they did that Shah Shah A Go Go / Ice medley in late 79 and early 80, like Paris Empire 12 nov 79 and Rouen Exo 7 12 June 80. I've got both of them, so I might post Paris Empire soon, though I wanted to choose SDB recordings first. Cheers !

Mad Hatter ??? :eek3: That's a strange request, as it is, IMO, one of the weakest tracks of the weakest Stranglers album ever !
Anyway, I don't think I've got that one on any live tape or CDR, sorry, but I might post London Dominion 1985 soon, taken from the Aural Sculpture tour, in exc sound quality. Cheers !

:icon_nono Sorry Billy, but you're wrong, Mad Hatter was the last track on the Aural Sculpture album, released in 1984, 6 years before Hugh departure. it's got some kind of musical atmosphere, like Fred Astaire or something... :spit:

LOL yeah, I know. Just it was a good singalong back in the day. It was just about the only Stranglers track I was allowed to play on the record player at partys (orders from the 1st wife. needless to say, I divorced her)

Yes, I know the song well. I seem to remember, though I could be completely wrong, that at the last gig Hugh ever played with the band at Alexandria Palace, the last song they played in the encore was Mad Hatter so it was the last song he ever performed with them. Maybe my memory's playing tricks with me. Not my favourite song either by the way :)
