OK. First lemme say I'ma metal-mo-fugga and that is the music 4 me. Here are the two bands that would dominate the world of music if they existed:

#1:

James Hetfield: Rhythm Guitar/Vocals
Sully Erna: Vocals
Mudvayne's Drummer (name?)
Cliff Burton: Bass
Zakk Wylde: Lead Guitar

#2:

Randy Rhoads: R+L
Dimebag Darrel: R+L
Jason Newsted: Bass
Vinnie Paul: Drums
Ozzy Osbourne circa 1980: Vocals

THESE WOULD BE THE MOST AWESOME BANDS EVER ASSEMBLED AND IT WOULD BE AWESOME TO SEE WHAT THEY WOULD WRITE TOGETHER!!!!! :p

Lemmie see...This is a tough decision...

I'll have to go as follows:

Chino Moreno (Deftones) - Vocals

Ryan Martinie (Mudvayne) - Bass (I'm friends with his step-sister and I met him at her high school graduation party a couple years ago. He's a really cool guy and a friggin SMART musician!)

Danny Carey (Tool) - Drums

DJ Starscream a.k.a. "Sid" (Slipknot) - Turntables. Some people might have issues with including a DJ in a metal band, but I'm a DJ in a metal band, so I had to include one.

Nigel Tufnel (Spinal Tap) - Guitar....just kidding ("but this one goes to 11, doesn't it...")

lets see...guitar is a hard choice...

I might take some heat for saying this, but I'm gonna have to to with Wes Borland (formerly of Limp Bizkit) for guitar. He was robbed of all credibility by being in such a shitty band, but he is actually REALLY good, check out his other bands, then you'll see.

on band #1 replace your singer with Bruce Dickinson & THAT would be far better.

His vocal range with the technique range of those musicians would be truly something special.

Howlin' Wolf - vocals

Billy Powell - piano
Jon Lord - organ
John Mayer - rhythm guitar

Vox- Layne Staley (alice in Chains)
Guitar 1- Steve vai
Guitar 2- John Petrucci
Drums - Virgil Donati
Keys- Mike Keneally

With Vai's legato and Petruccis picking they would be an amazing duo. Layne Staley was an amazing singer. Virgil Donati is a drum god and Mike Keneally is just a genius!!!

That's a nice lineup. I'd love to see Freddie front the band and write with Zappa. That would be amazing.
