I had this simple 2 chord riff going for a while now. I thought it might make for a good basicbacking for a jam. If any of you want to add to it please be my guest. From 1:42 onwards it may as well be a free for all.

Oh and it is a biggish file because I have included 6 minutes of space for ad libs. file size is ~7MB

Suggestion: Break it down in pieces so people can claim spots, then set up how or who you want to mix. It will go much smoother that way

Good idea EJ

VHfans method of aligning files would be good for starters. http://www.guitars101.com/boards/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/95380/page/0/view/collapsed/sb/5/o/all/fpart/1

and the slots might as well be long ish because it is sounds so laid back. So how about

Slot 1 01:44-03:04
Slot 2 03:04-04:24
Slot 3 04:24-05:44
Slot 4 05:44-07:04
Slot 5 07:04- end.

That is the best I can think of for now. Lets see if there are any takers

I'll take slot 1 if you want while I wait for jam 2 to be complete.

I appear to have a problem receiving large emails (since freeserve was taken over by wanadoo) so can you save a couple of bars of the backing music and a space of about a second the just before the solo.

cheers

Cool axe - cant wait after hearing your take on satriani

Slot 1 01:44-03:04 Phil28uk
Slot 2 03:04-04:24 Andrewtheshredder
Slot 3 04:24-05:44 Stiglar
Slot 4 05:44-07:04 Axeshredder
Slot 5 07:04- end. El Jelapeno

Right, when you submit your piece, can you use the VHFan infallible method, and compress the file using winzip or winrar

I just tried this method for the last solo (Slot 5) and the mp3 was 7.5MB. However, using winzip I it compressed down to little over 1MB, so please zip your mp3s before you send them.

Send them to [email protected]

I shouldn't have to compress mine. But if it is over 2mb I will
