I've got a fender acoustic...plays great.....but the 13th fret is dead.....plays fine above and below.......this is my first acoustic and i've never messed with the truss rod.....could this be my probblem??? :wutblau:

if its on the 13th fret, thats too high to have anyhting to do with the truss rod. it sounds like a bridge action problem. try shimming your saddle(the white thing that sits inside the bridge) just a little by sticking a little piece of paper up under it to raise it.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot and see if that works
