Is 439 HZ a half step down from 440 HZ. I'm using a Korg tuner and trying to calibrate it inorder to tune down a 1/2 step. I'm just a beginner learning Social D and dont have the ear yet to do it manually. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Doug

Why don't you just leave it at A440 and tune the fisrt string to E flat etc.?

Use some medium to heavy gauge strings too. None of that extra light stuff or you will get a worbly sound :thumb:

my suggestion is to leave your guitar in straight E. Unless your going to keep your guitar in Eflat. I say this because if you change back n' fourth, your neck might get a little messed up because of the string tension
