Thanks Pod...nah, when I went in the studio to record the Unchained demo, I hadn't really got the stuff off as well as I'd have liked and the phaser setting was far to over-the-top. I also think the POD xt sounds much better recorded than the Peavey 5150...and easier to carry!

Incredible Wah! Fuckin' Right! Well it is a contest, so instead of saying I pulled a hamstring or broke a string, I'll just enter mine and see what happens. I used the actual VH backing, cause I wasn't sure about the tuning in wah's backing and I knew what VH's was, so I'll credit the VH boys for this backing.

I don't jam with this tune that often, so I had fly off the seat of my pants a bit. I joked earlier with Wah about how I hated the solo, cause I didn't know it. I had to learn it fast because Wah was ready to post.

This is a pretty sweet battle between two of the greats here on this site. I have to give wah the edge on this one, they were both excellent takes though, wah's seemed more raw and had more of the feel on this one. I really like how crispy J-marts picking is too it's like a machine gun and the solo was bad ass. Overall a pretty tough one to judge, hats off to you both.

Outstanding, outstanding stuff!!! Just floored me to hear these!! Winner? Both of you guys!!! The vote..? I tend to lean to J-Mart. I think the tone being the difference. Hard to beat that Modded amp he uses. Of all the POD's on Earth, I want Chris's!! His tones are excellent!! The playing on both is purely sonic heaven!!! :icon_thum :icon_thum

I'm sure Wah's in bed so I'll try and speak for him a little. I honestly don't know who I'd vote for either if I were an outsider. Wah, though I've never met him in person, is a good friend. We were both looking forward to this and I think it brought the best of us out. I had a blast recording this and both Wah and I have a kick ass version of this song with ourselves playing! It's like a sore pecker, you can beat it! Thanks for listening everyone.
