② Queen – Houston Rock(dvd)

Live at the Summit, Houston Texas, 1977-12-11

Genre: Rock
Duration: 01:53:42
Year of release: 1977

Description:
The new video version of the concert is based on three sources:
PAL DVD (thanks to EddieA) - video
NTSC DVD (thanks to salex2505) - track breakdown, menu
2CD set - FLAC (thanks to EDGE at GUITARS101) - sound (※① Queen – A Night At The Summit)T.U.B.E.: Queen - 1977-12-11 - Houston, TX (SBD/FLAC)

The goal of this compilation is to combine high-quality sound with good picture quality on a single DVD.

The NTSC disc (Snow Producciones) has poor video quality, but better sound, a menu, and track breakdown.
The PAL version has good picture quality, but poor sound and no tracks, only 5-minute chapters.
Recently, the Soundboard FLAC audio recording became available for download. That's when the idea to combine these materials came up.

Sony Vegas Pro (audio synchronization)

Chapter editing:
Notepad + Calculator

Menu conversion from NTSC to PAL:

Rhozet Carbon Coder

Authoring in DvdReMake Pro

Sound from the CD version, missing fragments pasted from PAL DVD. The resulting track is saved in WAV.
The disc turned out to be slightly larger than DVD5, so to burn it to a single-layer disc,
it is enough to compress the video by 12% using DVDShrink.

The 2005 version appears to use first-generation VHS copies for its video.
For audio, it is believed to employ the original monaural video soundtrack, similar to ZEP Seattle '77.

② Queen –Rock The Summit - Live in Houston 1977 - New Master Edition 2CD + 1DVD | Guitars101 - Guitar Forums

Versions after 2005 show no dramatic changes in video quality, and the audio is likely produced as pseudo-stereo.
