EVH\'s 5150 settings

i have seen many requests for this in many places so I'm posting for your information:

The guitar goes into the 5150's high gain input.
Rhythm channel is used for rhythm, with bright and crunch switches both activated.
Lead channel is used for lead.

• Rhythm (pre gain) = 7
• Lead (pre gain) = 5 - 6
• Bass = 6
• Middle = 2
• High = 5
• Resonance = 3
• Presence = 7

i also have some older FX ,studio and live setting and equip if any1 is interested

neato, after i pay off my guitar that i just bought, i need to get a wicked tube half stack or 2 12, nothing beats them

i want the combo but...how does only 60 watts crank loud....any 5150 combo owners please review

I had the original 5150 combo and that thing was *loud*. I've also had the 5150-II, while it is louder than the combo, I think the combo would be fine for playing at home and small clubs. I never played out with it though, so I'm just guessing.

I have a 5150 combo and it is one of the loudest amps I have ever played...combo or otherwise!! I guarantee it would be plenty unless you are playing a stadium! Anyway, it sounds a little different than the head, especially on the lead channel. It is a great amp if you want balls out great rock tone!
