I've listened to several of these shows so I'd suggest not to jump to any conclusions based solely upon the book's cover.
I simply take it as dry wit as I do not know what the acronym actually stands for.

I do believe each show comes complete with custom artwork :)

It's a load of CRAP (if you don't "get" this band)

Well - thanks for the comments, I think ....
and for uploading my CRAP series of early IQ shows. I digitised and shared these many many years ago, so good to see them still 'doing the rounds'.

For the avoidance of doubt, CRAP was an acronym for 'Captain Ransid Audio Productions', a bit of a tongue in cheek comparison to BURP which was being regularly shared in the genesis community at the time! :)

Cheers

Certainly I meant no disrespect...

Captain Ransid Audio Productions, I do believe I read that somewhere however when preparing the post it had slipped my mind. Which has been getting slipperier as time progresses.

And I can see why a comparison to a "BURP" would be appropriate as the comparisons/influence between the two bands is obvious as well.

Thank you for putting together this series originally!

Question for IQ fans- I quite like IQ after Road of Bones- is the early stuff similar, or better? recommended?

Thanks in advance.
I personally enjoy everything from The Seventh House ('01) onward. My own theory about this is because I only first became familiar then a subsequently a fan in '07.
Ask someone that has been with the band throughout and I wouldn't be shocked their opinion would differ.

I was asked by JJ what my favorite had become, I answered with Frequency (in '09). He found encouragement in that my enjoyment and enthusiasm could still be had after 26 years of their music(at the time) being made.
My friend who turned me on to them loved Ever ('93) at that time as I remember. Not that he didn't love the entire gamut.

I guess this is a good place to ask... I have a bunch of IQ tapes that I need to digitise, but I want to save myself some time if someone already has a good transfer, or at least I should compare quality of the recordings. And I want to skip anything that has been released officially in the meantime, of course.
