Steve's Notes:
These shows, to me, are incredibly historic on numerous levels. (think "the Petty '97 and '99 stands at The Fillmore", or the "2016 TOTD mini-tour" historic).
While those reasons won't be delved into, I was lucky enough to obtain 8 of the shows PJ played with Neil (7 have been digitized), and other than a comp here on DIME, and the SF and Israel shows, I've not seen the rest of them ever torrented...either here or on TTD.
These were obtained under the guise of "my friend knew a friend following and taping the entire tour", and whether or not that was true, I never got the last few shows from the trader...my assumption, if the story is true, is that CSB/D7 > 1g > me is how they were obtained.
HOPEFULLY these 2g's will help pry loose these amazing shows from clones or the masters...I won't hold my breath, but it sure would help in terms of hiss reduction. Dennis actually used the iZotope noise reduction version on this show (and the next 2), and to my ears, the music "breathes" thru much better than the Audacity version.
Anyhow, hopefully many of you will consider these shows treasures and gifts, and, if so, 2 more are ready, and if master sources don't pop out, I'll do up the other 4 that are digitized, save the Israel one.
THANK Dennis for getting the Neil Jam ready for your earholes.
And I'll get back to chuckin' it in the fuckit bucket!
