Anyone else ?
No one was unhappy with FileFactory except for non members. But FF are obviously having issues now that we all hope they work through. But they were the best because they had a search function, unlimited daily downloads, and very long retention. I don’t know any others with those benefits. And another reason people are rooting for them is they already uploaded a lot of stuff there and don’t want to have to do it all again. If everyone is so unhappy with FileFactory, then why are people still using it? There are so many other hosts that could be used; people only want to complain, but never change
People who have paid for the premium service have a right to complain, esp. if they've contacted FF and rec'd no reply or some anondyne useless reply. That's why.If everyone is so unhappy with FileFactory, then why are people still using it? There are so many other hosts that could be used; people only want to complain, but never change
more likely, it depends on which server it's on & whether or not it's affected by whatever glitch...For some members FF links, I can just click on the link and it DLs
For others, that fails, and I have to do a Save As on the link
Just seems inconsistent, perhaps based on how it was uploaded or shared
It seems to me that FF needs to be solution oriented and not excuse prone. This should have been anticipated before any site update. Instead from what we, the endusers can see, they've done sweet FA to address the problem other than hiding behind email requests.more likely, it depends on which server it's on & whether or not it's affected by whatever glitch...
you have to realize, that, they have a complex site, that handles a heavy volume of traffic. Imagine having hundreds of thousands of drives hooked up to your computer & having them all sync'd up, having security, managing subscriptions, vs free accounts, vs non-members.
I'm not a FF fan, but, w/ my certain (limited) website managing/admin experience, I couldn't imagine the headaches they are having right now. It sucks, but, what can you do?
Just hope they get it resolved quick & make it up to their (paid) customers...
I have what they claim is just under 7-TB uploaded over there. And another reason people are rooting for them is they already uploaded a lot of stuff there and don’t want to have to do it all again.
